When connected to a power adapter up to 92W of power are available for charging, while 8W of power are reserved for the USB-C multiport adapter, this power reserve avoids video flickering and device dropouts, caused by overdrawing power, common in other hubs, ensuring this adapter provides high-performance operation, while reliably charging your devices. When a power adapter isn't connected, this adapter operates using USB bus power, and the USB-C port where you connect your power adapter turns into a downstream 5Gbps USB Type-C port for connecting USB-C peripheral devices.
